Key Objectives

  • Provide direct patient care and support under the supervision of nursing staff.
  • Assist with daily living activities to promote patient comfort and well-being.
  • Enhance the overall patient experience through attentive and compassionate service.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to maintain a safe and clean care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff promptly.
  • Support patients during meals, ensuring dietary requirements and preferences are met.
  • Maintain patient hygiene and comfort by changing linens and assisting with toileting needs.
  • Help transport patients safely within the facility as needed.
  • Ensure patient rooms and care areas are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and team members.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or patient care setting preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and patient care techniques is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Physical stamina to assist with patient mobility and perform routine care tasks.
  • Willingness to comply with hospital safety and confidentiality standards.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is advantageous.
