Key Objectives

  • Provide essential nursing care and assistance to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and medical staff.
  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity throughout their hospital stay.
  • Support the healthcare team by performing routine clinical and non-clinical tasks efficiently and compassionately.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Observe and report any changes in patients’ conditions or behaviors to nursing staff promptly.
  • Help prepare patients for medical procedures and assist during examinations as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Support patient transportation within the hospital, including transfers and positioning.
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and team members.
  • Document care activities accurately and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of practice.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures.
  • Physical stamina to assist patients and perform tasks that require lifting, standing, and walking.
